Blog Candy to celebrate National Scrapbooking Day!

I hope your day is going fantastically & is filled with all sorts of scrapbooking fun! I've been working on some projects for Apron Strings & enjoying the scrappy time.

I do have some awesome, yummy goodness to give away thanks to Lori of www.aprongstringsdesigns.com. I'll show you in just a moment what you can win but first the requirements. Which are not too big really!

Lately life has seemed busy but yet the need to be VERY frugal has increased in my home. My favorite tool in the kitchen has been my two large slow cookers. My smaller one is lost in the still unpacked mess which is my garage but the two cookers have been used a lot lately! However, I'd love to have you post any good recipes or ideas you have for slow cookers or even make ahead casseroles to stash in the freezer.

I decided that this IS a topic related to scrapbooking in that when I have a meal simmering ahead of time or baking in the oven straight from the freezer, it's far easier to find time to do the things I want to, one of which is creating lovely memories using photos of my loved ones.

If you don't have time to type in an entire recipe, please feel free t

o share links to your favorite recipes sites. This will get you an entry to win this fabulous pack of goodies from Apron Strings Designs. I will draw randomly & will give you some time to enter. Deadline is May 5.

Wanna know what you will win? Here is a tiny sample tasting of the prize:

All the ingredients to create several layouts or projects!
Have a wonderful rest of NSD!!

  1. Those look almost as good as a slow cooker meal cooking away so that there's free time for scrapbooking later using these kit. They're like the dessert :)

  2. Here's a quick and easy and tasty recipe my family loves!!
    Chicken and Cheese
4 boneless breasts pounded flat or (filleted thinner)
    swiss cheese
creme of mushroom or chicken soup
    croutons
Spray the casserole, lay the chicken breasts in layer the swiss cheese on top the chicken, mix the soup with 1/2 can of water and pour over top put in 350 oven for 35-40 min , take out and add croutons to the top put back in oven to brown croutons. Viola a tasty entree!!

  3. Oohh... Diane, that recipe looks yummy. i'll have to try later this week. I posted last week when this post first came up, but its not here! i think i forgot to put the letters in the confirmation thingy. ANYWAY, Whenever i buy beef roast its always for crockpotting. last week there was a b1g1 free sale at safeway and i ended up with two, so two days in a row we had crockpot beef. The first day, i chopped a bunch of carrots celery and red potatoes. threw those in the crockpot, then made an indentation and put the beef in. For most people that would be a good 2 meals worth. The next day i cooked just the beef roast, then toward the end shredded with 2 forks and to the beef and juices added bbq sauce. it was SO good. Serve on buns, and freeze a container or two of it, because one 4 lb roast lasted my family of 9 over 2 meals! that would be easy to pull out and thaw for ANOTHER easy meal :-)
