What a Terrible Blogger

That would be me. Ugh! I'm going to try to do better, I do post a lot on Facebook though.

I'm a busy bee working on the August 2010 Smaller then a Breadbox kit from Apron Strings. It's FULL of summer fun as well as some fun back to school stuff! I can't show you anything yet but if you head over to www.apronstringsdesigns.com, you can get a sneak peek & in a few days a full blown show of what we have been up to using this wonderful kit.

One thing I have to tell you about is an amazing giveaway by Dollar Store Crafts. I love their blog, it's always full of cool ideas that will not bust your budget. And, the ideas look classy, not cheap in anyway. I love my local Dollar Tree store plus love crafting so this site has been so much fun to visit. Very inspiring!

Anyway, Heather is giving away a Silhouette cutter!!!! http://dollarstorecrafts.com/2

As a scrapbooker, I have wanted one of these for so long! I dream of creating gorgeous titles for all of my layouts using all of those fun fonts available out there. I also imagine hanging up amazing wall art for my poor, bare, white walls, wall art that has been made using this fab machine!

Anyway, do click on the link above for more info. Entering is easy. And, trust me, Dollar Store Crafts is a FUN site, you will love it!

Winner!

Thank you so much to Dianne & Rebecca for taking time to stop & leave ideas on my blog. And, you too, Lori!

I had my daughter draw from both names for the pictured kit items & Dianne was the winner! However, I've decided that both of you deserve to win so I'll also be sending Rebecca something from my Apron Strings Stash.

Blog Candy to celebrate National Scrapbooking Day!

I hope your day is going fantastically & is filled with all sorts of scrapbooking fun! I've been working on some projects for Apron Strings & enjoying the scrappy time.

I do have some awesome, yummy goodness to give away thanks to Lori of www.aprongstringsdesigns.com. I'll show you in just a moment what you can win but first the requirements. Which are not too big really!

Lately life has seemed busy but yet the need to be VERY frugal has increased in my home. My favorite tool in the kitchen has been my two large slow cookers. My smaller one is lost in the still unpacked mess which is my garage but the two cookers have been used a lot lately! However, I'd love to have you post any good recipes or ideas you have for slow cookers or even make ahead casseroles to stash in the freezer.

I decided that this IS a topic related to scrapbooking in that when I have a meal simmering ahead of time or baking in the oven straight from the freezer, it's far easier to find time to do the things I want to, one of which is creating lovely memories using photos of my loved ones.

If you don't have time to type in an entire recipe, please feel free t

o share links to your favorite recipes sites. This will get you an entry to win this fabulous pack of goodies from Apron Strings Designs. I will draw randomly & will give you some time to enter. Deadline is May 5.

Wanna know what you will win? Here is a tiny sample tasting of the prize:

All the ingredients to create several layouts or projects!
Have a wonderful rest of NSD!!

The behinder I get....

but better late then never. I posted all of this on Facebook as well (last month) so you may be seeing double!
This kit was one of my all time faves from www.apronstringsdesigns.com . Granted, all of our kits are fab but I had the most fun this time! Could be that I also had the best models in my photos! Featured this month were my 21 year old son, Chris, with his cutie, Ashley. Not to mention little Nathan practicing his walking skills.
The little birdhouse was so fun! Michaels sells little unfinished birdhouses for just 1.00 & they are super for using up slivers of paper that you can't bear to part with.
There are still March Bigger then a Breadbox kits left here: http://www.apronstringsdesigns.com/Apron/Products/Item/-3/1/1898.html

New Blog!

I've decided to move my blog! Just figured a new start would be good especially as I've been pretty remiss in keeping my blog updated.

Life's been busy the past few months. Besides being incredibly blessed to be approved to buy a house (it's larger, not mini mansion but perfect for us & it's ours!), we took care of our granddaughters from late summer until just a couple of weeks ago. Savannah & Chloe kept us very busy & outside of designing for http://www.apronstringsdesigns.com/, I've not gotten much scrapbooking done. Having the girls has been a blessing though, just a busy blessing!

The girls are now back with their mom & their new stepdad so here I am, more time on my hands & easing back into more creating. Course some of that time is devoted to unpacking many still packed, in the garage, boxes.
Highlights of this new year: Nathan turning one & walking before his first birthday. That's not unusual for children of this age, but only one of mine walked before 14 months. That was Valerie & now Nathan. Another highlight was being invited back as a Sous Chef (aka designer) for Apron Strings. This year will be my 2nd year & it's been pure joy!

I had fun creating this month for Apron Strings using the February Smaller then a Breadbox kit. Lots of goodies in this kit! All of the Sous Chefs are a delight to work with as is the "boss" Lori.
